The Construction Authority received proposals for the Pasadena to Azusa Alignment contract today. This is the big one… covering the final design and construction of the 11.5 miles of track, stations, crossings, the maintenance facility and more.
Each of the three short listed design-build teams (listed below in alpha order) dropped off their proposals early this morning:
1. Foothill Transit Constructors, a Kiewit-Parsons Joint Venture;
2. Shimmick/URS/Stacy and Witbeck Joint Venture; and
3. Skanska/Balfour Beatty Joint Venture.
This is an important milestone, keeping the project on schedule to award the contract in April and complete the extension by late 2014.
