Metro to Begin Passenger Service on Glendora to Pomona Segment THIS FRIDAY, Sept. 19, at Noon

At noon this Friday, September 19, Metro will officially begin passenger service on the Glendora to Pomona extension of the Metro A Line. All rides on the Metro rail, bus, bike share and Metro Micro will be free from the beginning of passenger service until 3 a.m. Monday, September 22 (click here for more information).

Ahead of the historic opening day, the Construction Authority again would like to thank the residents, businesses and students of Glendora, San Dimas, La Verne and Pomona for your patience and understanding over these past five years as this important project was completed. We look forward to riding this new extension with you starting Friday.


Metro Hosting “Rock the Rails”: Community Celebrations at Each New A Line Station This Friday

To celebrate the beginning of passenger service, Metro is hosting community celebrations at each of the four new stations this Friday, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The community is invited to be part of the festivities at every stop as Metro marks this historic moment for the region, with live sets from local bands and DJs, food trucks and more. Visit the Foothill Gold Line booth at each station to pick up a station lapel pin and project poster.

The community celebrations will be held at the station parking lots. See below for the addresses for each station’s parking lot.
