In two heavily contested races that included multiple candidates vying for a few open seats Doug Tessitor, Chairman of the Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority and incumbent Mayor Pro Tem for the City of Glendora, and Sam Pedroza, Board First Vice Chair and incumbent Mayor Pro Tem for the City of Claremont were re-elected by considerable margins (based on preliminary results).
