A member of the Anderson Drilling team (Skanska's sub consultant for the foundation drilling) leans over a 14-foot diameter surface casing for the foundation hole.

This week has seen scorching temperatures as well as heightened activity around the I-210 Bridge. Crews delivered and assembled the 300-ton crane and one of the largest available drill rigs and began work on the first of three 110 ft. deep,  11 ft. diameter foundations. Drilling will continue through the next 3 weeks. During this period, there will be periodic full freeway closures of the eastbound lanes, the first of which will be next Tuesday evening 9/13 from Midnight to 5 a.m. We’ll keep you updated.
