As part of the Glendora station art, station-artist Michael Hillman is now overseeing installation of the tile mosaics he designed for the eight art columns. The tile installation team has just completed installation of the four art column mosaics on the station platform – made up of more than 28,000 individual Italian-made tesserae glass tiles each, with imagery created that includes citrus, the foothills, bougainvillea and the brodiaea filifolia flower. The team will now move to the mosaics for the four columns located at nearby streets.
