Construction Update and Pictures of the Week

Starting on Monday evening and continuing through Thursday night, crews worked around the clock this week at the Lone Hill Ave. grade crossing in Glendora to relocate and protect underground utilities; install a relocated freight track; and rebuild the roadway, curbs and gutters. The street reopened to motorists Friday morning.

A light rail bridge will be built over the street in this location in the future.

I live on Vecino Ave next to the Utility yard. I enjoy the freight train that did two daily runs behind my home. Will the freights still use those tracks and share with the Goldline once it’s complete?

      Hi Lizzy,

Our crews are currently relocating the entire freight track in Glendora. Once completed, freight service will resume in the area and utilize the relocated track – currently anticipated for June. We will let everyone know when freight service is about to resume. Thank you, Lizzy.

      Best,
      Albert
