Work is underway on a $160 million Gold Line maintenance and operations facility on a 24 acre-site in the southeastern end of Monrovia Thursday, January 3, 2013. The Gold Line Foothill Extension from Pasadena to Azusa, will have the capability to do both light and heavy maintenance repair up to 100 light rail cars at a time for Metro’s larger fleet.
