Gold Line Keeps Getting Better

When the Gold Line opened from Union Station to Pasadena 10 years ago, some complained about its slowness and the long wait between trains. The line has since shaved several minutes off its travel time, added an extension to East LA, started work on an extension to Azusa, and now is reducing its weekend headways. Currently, trains run every 12 minutes during weekends, which is a long time if the doors just shut in your face. Now, in a week, they’ll arrive every six minutes between 10 am and 8 pm.
