One of the highlights of the new Gold Line Foothill Extension route are the stops and the integration of community inspired art that has been unveiled at each station.

“In this particular portion of the line, other than Azusa, all of the stations are gateways into the individual communities so they all have their own character and personality and story,” Metro Gold Line art program manager Lesley A. Elwood said.

Artists from across the nation were invited to apply to create the Gold Line art and each city’s station design review committee narrowed the entries to three applicants who then submitted project proposals. From there, the artists were selected and the work began.
