When the Gold Line Foothill Extension opens on March 5, the six new stops will be opening 11.5 miles of new ways to have fun and check out the area without having to jump into a car.

Rail riders will be able to go to festivals, museums, restaurants, shows and a brewery along the San Gabriel Mountains from East Pasadena to Azusa on foot thanks to trains that will run every 12 minutes during peak hours from the Sierra Madre Villa station to the APU/Citrus College station.

“I think Metro rail can be the catalyst for creating more thriving districts,” said Dave Sotero, communications manager for Metro.
