In response to the Gold Line opening to Azusa, Foothill Transit is proposing a new bus line that would provide connection from the Montclair TransCenter to the Azusa Downtown Gold Line Station. The new route would take the place of a current line that connects Montclair to Pasadena.
If you think this change would benefit you or if you have concerns about the change, Foothill Transit wants to hear from you today. Tomorrow, Wednesday, June 15 , is the last day to submit your comments before the Foothill Transit board decides on whether to make this change or not. So far, the majority of comments received have been against the change. Comments should be sent via email. More information can be found on the Foothill Transit website.

The proposed changes would:
- Terminate the bus line at the Azusa Intermodal Transit Center (right next to the Azusa Downtown Gold Line Station)
- Change the line from an express line to a local line (Foothill Transit is currently working on finalizing the new alignment)
- Lower the base fare for this line to $1.25
- Introduce round-trip service between Montclair and Azusa
If this is a permanent fix for the transit problem then No. However, if this is a temporary fix until the until the Gold Line is extended then it is something that should be considered.
The area is in desperate need of a rapid transit system,. The Light Rail System can not nor should it be dropped for any reason.

The gold line is really slow between DTLA and Pasadena, would be more popular if you could make it faster.
I had great hopes for the connection from Azusa to Montclair. I voted for it the first time and I was sorry to see that it would not be done until 2024. By that time I probably won’t be around as I am not young. However , it will help the horrible traffic in the 210 Fwy. Can’ you hurry it some? Please??

I’m a resident from The Claremont Montclair area. I think an express bus line to the Gold Line would be fantastic. You may not get enough comments because not enough people all aware that the Gold Line is available, know how to use the train, you need more awareness to get a better pulse of this new initiative
