PASADENA >> Assemblyman Chris Holden, D-Pasadena, will host an Assembly Select Committee on Regional Transporation hearing Thursday to discuss timely transportation issues for the region and state.

Among the transportation experts and executives invited to the Thursday hearing are Foothill Gold Line Chief Executive Officer Habib Balian; Carrie Bowen, Caltrans District 7 director; Mark Christoffels, Alameda Corridor East chief executive officer; Raffi Hamparian, L.A. Holden served on the Pasadena City Council for 23 years, including terms as mayor. He gained experience in regional transportation issues while serving as a commissioner and president of the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority and on the Pasadena Light Rail Alignment Task Force. He also organized a roundtable with 12 municipal mayors to discuss transportation priorities and the Metro Gold Line extension.
